Long time no blog!

Oh my, have I ever fallen off the blogging trail! Well, it's been over 3 months since my last post and so much has happened that I can't even begin with the catch-up! So, rather than go to past events I'll try to keep things in the here and now and just update you on where things are at with life in this busy household!

Calvin is now a pretty confident walker. He took his first steps in January, and within 2 weeks from that point he stopped crawling altogether. It's extraordinary to think of how quickly it all happens. He's quick to climb up the stairs and can go down as well (although I'm always there with him just in case). He's still signing a lot, and can even say a few words (mama, dada, down, up, book, ball, bonk-bonk, Dora, backpack, more, knock-knock). He screams a lot out of frustration, and generally always craves attention. He's a really poor eater in general, but I'm sure I'll find some time to get into that for an entire post. He's also still a really poor sleeper and as a result I haven't had more than 4 hours of straight sleep in close to 16 months! The upside is that he's generally a very happy and sociable little guy, and he's continually developing and learning new things. Here's Calvin discovering a new and amusing sound he can make. He thinks it's hilarious and is getting Daddy and Kira to respond.

Kira's development never ceases to amaze me. She is enjoying school immensely and she loves to role-play when she gets home (she's the teacher, of course!). Her vocabulary is constantly increasing. Today when I thanked her for something, she replied with "My pleasure!". She is getting a little bit better at sharing with her little brother but there are definitely a good deal of power struggles between Kira & Calvin. Kira is still a little entertainer at home. She sings with her microphone or guitar, or if without a prop she will dance without hesitation.

We're starting Kira's March Break this week, so I will soon have a few new adventures and stories to tell without a doubt! Sorry for the pause. Looking forward to getting back into the blogging habit!

You've got the greatest kids, Hisako (as if you didn't know that!) :)

Was looking at Tanya's blog (your photog friend) and I saw Kira and Calvin wearing babyburrito gear!!! That's made by my friend/fellow crafter, Lianne, who also lives in Candiac!!! Small world, eh?

Get out, you know Lianne? We talked a bit about Etsy during our meet. Verry small world! Cool!
